Steve Mynott
Is this possible? I can see how to do it for SpartaDOS and MyDOS at http://www.atarimax.com/ape/docs/DiskImageFAQ/ but not Bewe DOS?
+CharlieChaplin
Well, the BeweDOS own Format.COM does only 360k. But you can use a "trick": format 16MB with SpartaDOS or a Sparta tool, then copy BeweDOS and Boot.COM onto that disk/image/partition with Menu.COM and make it bootable with Boot.COM. Tried it, works !

a8isa1
As an aside, does anyone have a working image of Bewedos 1.30? I thought I had but every ATR I have that has XBW130.DOS on it doesn't allow to write back to the disk/ATR

a8isa1
_The Doctor__, thanks! Turns out I've been making a silly mistake. COPY is an extrinsic command in BeweDOS. After making big ATRs I never put all the utilities on them or I put them in a place where they could not be found by the CLI.
Steve Mynott
So I used the Spartados command to format and transfered BeweDOS to it fine and the 16MB image boots fine under emulation. But when I tried it with a SIO2SD it fails to boot. Is there anything special I need to do with this device? Or does it not support such large ATR? _The Doctor__
did you issue the boot BeweDos command after the transfer... that should bootstrap BeweDos and make things much happier.
Steve Mynott
The disk boots fine under emulation. The disk doesn't boot on a real Atari with SIO2SD
_The Doctor__
Did you try reducing sio to sd speed?

Steve Mynott
To answer my own question. I was able to boot the 16MB image from the sio2sd.xex loader although it doesn't work booting directly!
