kenjennings
Is there a PDF of DeRe Atari around that is simply scanned and not run through OCR? I have a PDF, and I looked at AtariArchives.org and both have the same error. (I'd use the actual book, but it is hiding in a box in storage.) In Chapter 8 about BASIC, in the Tokenizing section describing VNTP the PDF and the web site both have this text: Scalar variables - MSB set on last character in name. String variables - last character is a with the MSB set. Array variables - last character is a with the MSB set. Last character is a what with MSB set? Madi
VNTP 82,83 Variable name table - A list of all the variable names that have been entered in the program. They are stored as ATASCII characters, each new name stored in the order it was entered. Three types of name entries exist: 1. Scalar variables - MSB set on last character in name. 2. String variables - last character is a "$" with the MSB set. 3. Array variables - last character is a "(" with the MSB set. kenjennings
Yeee-ahhh?! I saw the color text earlier, too. Now it's got code strings embedded. weird. Did I damage it by liking it? (Maybe not. I unliked it, then refreshed. same mess.) Re-Liked!
