PeBo
Back in the day I bought a Realistic (Radio Shack housebrand) potable cassette player for us with my 4A. It worked perfecly and had the distinct advantage of having a brushed aluminium outer shell with black plastic trim. It looked sexy as hell sitting next to the TI. I'm seeing a lot of TI cassette players (usually the beige ones) coming up on ebay but black or beige, ALL the TI models were butt-ugly and cheap looking. (and why, if they're so damned common, are they selling for more than most consoles??) Now, I doubt if I'm going to find another Radio Shack player like the one I had...in fact finding ANY portable cassette decks is becoming more difficult every day, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever compiled a short list of compatible players that is more recent than the addendum that ships with consoles. Sure would make searching through kijiji and craigslist easier if I had a list f probable candidates, and would ensure I don't buy one that doesn't work (what the heck else am I going to do with a portable cassette player in 2015?).
