kennybrooks
Has anyone ever seen this release? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superman-Atari-2600-and-Sears-VCS-New-in-Box-Unopened-/291362057363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43d6882c93&nma=true&si=5tm4InVEN5RLurnxAedzyzyfIr8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
7800fan
I have seen many 2600 games back in the old day and I have never seen Atari branded 2600 game with shrinkwrap. They were usually glued shut.
Rick Weis
wonder what the back of the box looks like? very cool! Rick
bojay1997
That looks like very recent and hand done Y fold wrap. I suspect this is just a reproduction box of some kind as it appears very modern in construction and I have never seen anything even close to that in any region for 2600 releases. Always buy a true original like this example:
kennybrooks
Thanks for everyone's responses, I didn't win it, just saw it in completed items on ebay and had never seen any like it.
Crazy Climber
Yeah, thats a repro. It's a cool one though but $70 is ridiculous...

Captain_Combat
I actually found this in the superstition mountains while looking for curly's gold in a cave. Actually bought the game on ebay because it looked cool & unique, I know nothing about it's origins but i'm tempted to open the Y fold & find out. Does anyone else have this box in their collection?? Here's some more pics of the side & back views.
CPUWIZ
It's a fake, unless the guy sold more of them, it's doubtful that anyone else has one. The #1 giveaway is the fact that it is not a single piece of cardboard, it's made out of separate pieces.

Captain_Combat
The fake is exposed but whoever put this together did a pretty good job it has cool artwork! That being said the only thing left to do is bury this in Alamogordo NM desert while on vacation & have the city dig it up a year later & slap a coa on the bag & sell it for $1500 like e.t. Here are the rest of the pics
Zwackery
"Lex Luther" - lol. I like how in all the myriad copyright violations the maker bothered to include citations for the game program, walkthrough, and map.
