ballyalley
I wanted to play "Tin Pan Alley Cats" on my 130XE using my AtariMax cart. I created a disk with MyPicoDOS and the game (called TINPAN.BAS) and placed it on my flashcart. It works great! For anyone who wants to play this game on real hardware, then this ATR disk will make doing that just a bit easier. Looks like you found a game you like Round 5 Poll O*P*E*N The score multipliers just go up by 2 each round so 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and you get double bubble if you make it to the top of the hearts screen with a present

8BIT 1337
Well I guess I'll eat my hat a little bit - I did manage to get a pretty decent score on Alley Cat after all - 191,292. (As an added bonus, I managed to make it a selfie of sorts LOL) I also tried out Tin Pan Alley Cats and kinda liked it. 2,650. Have to admit I had as much fun getting it running my real Atari as I did playing it. ballyalley
I like "Alley Cat" quite a bit... I'm just not any good at it-- and playing it doesn't make me better. I've never even been able to clear the level called "The Kennel." My personal high scores for both games are: Alley Cat - 19,608 (NTSC, Real 130XE using Atarimax 8Mb Cart) Tin Pan Alley Cats - 3,650 - NTSC, Real 130XE using Atarimax 8Mb Cart) "Tin Pan Alley Cats" is simple, repetitive and dull. It reminds me of extremely early timed arcade games. Playing this game with the paddle, and some tweaking to gameplay, would make this game fastly improved... and I'm sure that when the game was published in the Antic book, that there were some budding kids (and the kid in all of us adults) that did just that and made "Tin Pan Alley Cats" their very own. That's the beauty of BASIC. Regardless of how much I live the bonus game, I like that it was picked. It's a weird choice, but it goes perfectly well with Alley Cat! Has anyone ever played "Alley Cat" and only collected the mice on the clothesline to see what score that they could attain?

+therealbountybob
Top cat McKong make it three HSC wins in a row with 8BIT 1337 stealing 2nd place from your truly Special mention to jblenkle breaking into the top 10 Bonus game "Tin Can Alley Cats" was won by ballyalley Alley Cat remains a challenging game showing quality throughout; from the manual to the seven screens. Each screen is so well designed that even after repeated play you can never take them for granted. The difficulty ramps up nicely but is perhaps a little difficult to start with. CapitanClassic
Late score, and late start on this game. The key on the Alley Cat difficulty is to drop off the short can on the right and run jump to the can on the left. Until the 6th level, you should be able to out race the dog.
