Opry99er
Who still uses a program recorder? I have no space here for a PEB rig, so I am contemplating getting out my console and program recorder and putting them in my TV stand for easy access to XB saving/loading and cart gaming. I got to thinking about this and it just got me wondering... How many of you use your program recorder more than once a month?
+Schmitzi
Mich, at the moment Trying old cassettes sometimes for fun, or when coming from eBay, and also to "fresh" them up giving them a full forward/rewind, but only once a decade
unhuman
If you're going to do that... Why not get a cheap but effective MP3 player and use that instead of a cassette player? It'd be tiny, easier (maybe?) to find stuff and more reliable. Or, use a CF7+ My TI doesn't live with my TV, but it's pretty easy to get it out and connect to the dangling audio video cables I have in the cabinet. When my daughter and I code, that's how we do it. Edited April 7, 2015 by unhuman
Opry99er
My CF7 kicked it. I want a nanoPEB, but cant really afford any more TI expenditures right now. Maybe next time a batch comes up...
sparkdrummer
Don't forget that if you have 32k on board in the console you can run E/A programs from cassette also. I've tried it, it works.
+save2600
My CF7 kicked it... Mine died once too, but Custodio was happy to exchange it. I'd write to him and see. Oh and I still use a real TI Program recorder. Good to keep it in use before belts, rollers and tires turn to mush.
am1933
I still use mine every now and again, even more so now I have the official TI program recorder, I added a few tapes to my collection recently which means "you just have to test them"
