Atlantis
Hi, I won the bid on this Atari entertainment magazine, seems to be an indie mag based on the quality of it. I believe it is UK based.http://www.tradera.com/item/3019/230055882/atari-entertainment-special-2001-issue?utm_source=buyer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=transactional_sold&utm_content=item-image-linkWhat's the story behind it? Do you guys have any issues of this magazine? And why is it a "2001 special issue", when it seem to deal games from 1994? A new print (highly unbelievable)? (Not that much info on the web.) sh3-rg
Nick has that 2001 version on his site for a pound: http://sales1632.myzen.co.uk/acatalog/16_32_Webshop_Atari_Magazines_68.html It looks to be a reprint. I offered to scan mine, but someone had already done them and uploaded them to js2. That site is now dead and the mags are gone, but they should still be out there somewhere. High Voltage used to write for it, he put the Lynx ones in the Lynx section, but not the AE ones afair. Maybe you can ask him to scan them and put them up here each week like he did with the Lynx ones. high voltage
I might be able to do so, if I'm in the mood, I'm still abroad for 2 more weeks though. Oh yeah proof reading was not our strong point, Ninja Garden indeed.

+orpheuswaking
Not sure about the "2001 Special Issue" - I have the original (It's issue 2) and the front cover is identical apart from the "special Issue" identifier. I'm also the person who scanned all 8 issues for JSII. I still have them on my hard drive somewhere but they are between 20-22 mb each. Lost Dragon
:-) You can blame the Syndicate Review featured in a later issue on myself.Think it was the 1 and only review i ever wrote for AEM.

I confirm the above is number 2, the only thing you put that special issue.
Atlantis
This number I bought has amateur painted motif from AvP on the cover. This issue must have been from the later part of Jaguar's existence. Can't find any year or date on the magazine. It contains the following Lynx game reviews: Desert strike, Dracula, Jimmy Conners (tennis), Lemmings, Blue lightning, Soko mania, Legendary board game/Othello, Hyperdome, Championship rally, Remnant, S-i-m-i-s, Lexus, Bubble trouble. When it comes to the Jaguar: news about a new game Battlesphere, and talk about the rare Cd-add on, and a 1- 5 rated best games and reviews on the following five games: 1. AvP, 2. Tempest 2000, 3. Doom, 4. Iron soldier and... 5. Fight for life (?!); also reviews on Worms and Hyperforce. It was a cool read. Seems to exist an underground fan base already at this point, as they wright about it with those words and how hard it is to find stuff for this platform. It's kind of funny, the cover says: exclusive preview of Kasumi ninja (except 2x of a picture on the game paused), Ultra vortex and Brutal sports, but there's nothing of it within the magazine. high voltage
I don't have that issue as a 'special issue', just the 'normal' version. It's issue number 2, btw. I wonder what's special in/about this special issue?
Atlantis
Yeah, me too.Maybe stock of unsold magazines stored for years and then sold at some gathering later, with the "special edition" note added. The homemade AvP cover sure is "special".
