Video
Yeah, I got a Wii, a newer one, but not the newest one, it's the same format as the original, but lacking gamecube support. Anyhow, it randomly won't read discs. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not. I was going to run a CD cleaner though it, but eh, it doesn't read DVD or CD format, so it won't even try either of the cleaners I got. Thought about taking it apart, but don't know anything about it really, especially since it has a vacuum drive. Thinking just a qtip and an alcohol to clean it with. Of course, it could just be going out....if it comes to replacing the laser, how difficult would that be? Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, funny how when you put a wii disc in it, it still has the wii/gamecube disc logo, even though it won't play gamecube discs.
