philipj
I'm just going to through this idea out there and then let it go, where as I've sold all of my Jag stuff... Has anyone ever thought about using or creating an expansion for the Atari Jaguar? I was think may using it to make a CD module that emulates the CD ROM functionality or something like that. I'm just putting one idea of many possibilities so that the Jag can stay afloat and relevant to some small degree. Imagine making Unity 3D games for the Jag via Java or C running off of a Raspberry Pi. It's just a little something to think about, which I would love to see. I don't expect too many responses for this topic, but it's worth posting anyway just for sheer kicks. Best regards; philipj
+remowilliams
Uhm.... what? That would be making Unity 3D games for the RPi and playing them on an RPi. Which has nothing to do with a Jaguar... Maybe you want to buy an RPi, put it in here, and call it a new videogame system?
GroovyBee
Just make yourself a jag controller to USB interface and play them on the RPi directly.
+CyranoJ
Just make yourself a jag controller to USB interface and play them on the RPi directly. Just emulate Linux in a VMWARE hypervisor on a windows box and use a 360 controller to emulate a jaguar controller on the RPi in the emulator.
philipj
Well... It was worth a go... Can't blame an enthusiast for trying. lol
j1mp4ck
The brainstorm give a lot of options, VR helmet glasses like jaguar old School, or adapte Xbox360 USB or Bluetooth joystick for play better, take a atari ST cart with rp2040 and adapte this to Jaguar, use rp2040 like a fx chip, emulate CD unit... Rp2040 consume 20mA, run at 133Mhz and 400Mhz with overclock, program with C++...is not imposible, only need a good mind a time, looking this like hoobie and not how business
