+OLD CS1
I registered Novaterm 24 years ago. Somewhere along the way I lost contact with the Commodore 8-bit world after v9.4 as I shifted to Amiga. I have found hacks of Novaterm 9.6 and what looks like a pick-up project of the un-released Novaterm 10, but it appears Nick Rossi has not been seen in Novaterm-capacity since around 2000-ish. Does anyone know if Nick is still around and active?

To the best of my knowledge, Nick has been inactive for some time (just like Matthew Desmond of Desterm fame). Yes, there are at least two hacked releases (modifications) of 9.4 and 9.6 which I have found. > ...and what looks like a pick-up project of the un-released Novaterm 10, Novaterm 10r2 was finished by Errol Smith with the blessing of Nick Rossi. If you need more information, you can send your questions to Errol. I saw that one, too. It looks good (80x33 screen on C64!) but user port serial is noted to be unstable, including UP9600, and the release is targeted toward SwiftLink-232-type serial. > Does anyone know if Nick is still around and active? I have a copy of that which came in a bunch of software when I bought my 128D. Sadly, I do not think it is or ever was a registered copy. Thanks for the info. Unless you have a SuperCPU, you won't get much above 2400 baud (reliably) on the user port (for the C64 side). That's why a SwiftLink or Turbo-232 is a better choice for higher communication speeds, even without a SuperCPU.> Ah, DesTerm -- great program. Well, difficult to register it now since Matthew Desmond is gone from the scene. I use Desterm 2.01, because Desterm 3.02 has lock-up problems (the latter which I reported to Matthew. He responded but never cured the problem.)
