Marius
Hi All, The SIDE loader exists officially for the SIDE and SIDE2 hardware. A few years ago Candle released a version for MyIDE hardware, but I'm not sure this version is still officially supported. I was wondering: Is there someone with insight information, who can port this for IDE+ 2.0 or point me in the right direction? I'm not sure: is candle still around on AtariAge? I even might be able to port it myself, although I'm still not 100% sure whether IDE+ supports direct I/O on IDE or not. And if yes, I'm not sure where there registers are. I got some technical information from simius about IDE+ but I have to do some investigation in that before I can take further steps. Anyway, if there are suggestions, please let me know. And yes: I know there is a fabulous binary/atr loader in BIOS of IDE+ -> It's even more compatible than any FAT32 loader around, but I want to be as portable as possible with my SIDE and MyIDE interface (which do support FAT32). thanks! flashjazzcat
Easily doable, but working from current source code would be preferable to hacking the binary. Endorsement from Candle would also be a wise thing to seek first.
