JamesD
This has been around for a while but since it was mentioned on the podcast I thought I'd share it here. There is a CP/M (Z80) emulator for OS-9 running on the CoCo 3. Here are a couple videos demonstrating it.From 2013 (8080 only?) From 2015 with optimizations and Z80 support An 8Mhz 6809 could run it pretty decently
JamesD
For comparison, here is a Kaypro running Wordstar. You can skip ahead 50 seconds to get to the Wordstar startup Edited May 30, 2015 by JamesD
JamesD
The NitrOS-9 version on the 6309 is faster but he's running two copies of the emulator already when he launches it at 3:20 so you probably can't see it full speed. He launches The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy at the 6:00 mark. Then he switches between emulations of that, Turbo Pascal and Wordstar. JamesD
You can find the emulator disk on the Color Computer Archive. I haven't tried it yet, some setup may be required.http://www.colorcomputerarchive.com/
