Alcohaul Vs. 4.09

I was at the Game Trader earlier today and I was talking with some guys about cleaning. I told them I use alcohaul and they said you should use 4.09 because alchohaul can hurt the game...

 

So I'm confused here.

alcohol can harm a game, if you submerge it and leave it there for a little bit.

 

if you just use a small amount on a q-tip, it evoporates right away, and there is no possibility of damage.

Always use alcohol, 409 tastes like crap.

Formula 409? That's ridiculous! You'll end up with MORE residue on your contacts if you use that crap. Then again it never amazes me the things I'll hear people clean cart contacts with, from WD-40 to Spray'n'Wash. Just trust your ol' pal MegaManFan, nothing is better/cleaner/safer than 70/30 alcohol, and it's available in every Walgreens and corner store around the U.S. of A. (and quite possibly the world). You lightly dip one end of a q-tip and clean with the wet side, then you dry with the other end once you clean out the gunk. There's no way it can damage a cart; more often than not it will SAVE carts you thought were completely dead.

I'm gonna have to tell them this. Usually when I use alcohal I'll scrub and use the other end to dry the connectors off.
