marcian2654
Hi!!! A couple days ago I got a lot of junk Atari 2600 consoles, one of them was a "Light Sixer" It didn´t any screw on it, and the Reset switch was missing https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/h8c5uspV-veovF_3Zf1p9TKw5bbljbSuuCwaj5KUQVI=w640-h480-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/7tJJdlPh5B8lWU0yZ-c9QMDRPfhyEWesAlUvLL5MpIg=w614-h461-no So I went ahead decided to open it, and this was what I found inside https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/BebKJL9Quc0ZLgeG6LBd_gnea_bOhtx1mWHub-Bk25s=w640-h480-no As you can see, it looks like a Heavy Sixer (7805 Regulator with a heatsink, RF connector on a separated board, no channel selector, monochrome connector between the main and switchboards). I disconnected the flat cable to take a look to the switchboard. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/MNGovPzMMrtMGGz7kyqYIMl9rrVZ0LUCqvyw8_tJAIA=w640-h480-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/6inCDqOoAm0T1yVhGcEmdk7HpazjXuNhR-6WA7ffLRs=w640-h480-no A C010462 Rev. 5 (with the Atari logo on it) Not only the switchboard, but also the RF shield seems to be from a Heavy Sixer https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Juo9iU9MnofMrHxfw2QCZE_-JJDgeYz1qxm46Hko8j4=w640-h480-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/NHlK7yL2YzM0zsdohz2tr_gLmqkWKkJkWTO8n9WXU6A=w640-h480-no And just for fun, a photo of the actual mainboard https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/VEiL5T9H8MVAK1hf1zrhCbXTdWoZCb8CHUsA0NKMVc0=w640-h480-no So, is this a Heavy Sixer inside of a Light Sixer case? It´s very possible (specially here in Mexico) that someone had a broken case Heavy Sixer, found a dead Light Sixer and just swap the parts of them. Greetings

Nutsy Doodleheimer
A Light Sixer with Heavy Sixer guts are popularly known as Half Sixers. Hope you get a switch for the reset game placed there. I like 6 switch systems the best.
mikey.shake
I've got one with H6 guts, H6 top, and L6 bottom plate -- it's one of the best consoles I own. The colors are amazing, it's aesthetically gorgeous with all those switches on the front, and it plays everything I've put in it perfectly. Enjoy your awesome Half Sixer!

Thanks n.n, I will take the reset (and also the game select) switches from a cannibalized Vader I have over here, I will need to replace the voltage regulator too, I went ahead and cleaned this and a Sunnyvale "Promotional Only" Vader Case, I'm looking for a top case for this Sixer, doesn't matters if it's from a Heavy or a Light Edited July 9, 2015 by marcian2654
