Omega-TI
Okay, we've been seeing some REALLY COOL, as well as BRILLIANT screen display demos lately. So what do you think are the best of the best (in their class). POST YOUR EXAMPLES OR LINKS TO YOUR REFERENCES. There are THREE CLASSES: A) Stock VDP B) F18A C) 9938 The sub categories are: 1) TI BASIC 2) TI Extended BASIC (and compatible) 3) Assembly Language (E/A) 4) Forth Variants 5) Other Languages
Omega-TI
By far I think the best demo of the F18A's capabilities in an E/A 5 program is... (15.99MB) NOTE: DO NOT CLICK ON THE GRAPHIC TO VIEW IT IF YOU ARE ON DIALUP!

senior_falcon
Here's one I wrote quite a few years ago. Written in assembly with some XB support. There are 4 bouncing balls on the screen. The animated GIF is a bit choppy, but the program isn't. There are a few parameters you can change in the program. The only way out is to "quit". senior_falcon
Here it is less choppy - I can't edit my previous post for some reason.
Gazoo
Here it is less choppy - I can't edit my previous post for some reason. Can you do 2 bouncing balls? The thought of 4 bouncing balls... ...hurts.

I just checked with my TI-99/4A physics-multiple-objects-colliding folder *), and apart from also having the exact same idea (and with different routes down pinball, pool/pocket billiards and more (see below)), the most frighting thing, or should I say, a coincidence, is that my early work has the exact, - the exact same ball graphics (yep, every pixel checked). The basis of a game may be like the 1982 arcade game Bubbles. *) We're at 90 folders right now, and yes, I do spring clean.

Great minds think alike! One thing I have wanted to do with this idea is to have the bouncing balls in a stereogram. There are a number of videos on youtube that show animated stereograms. If you just look at the screen you see random static. If you do the "Magic Eye" trick of relaxing your eyes you see the animation. Here is one that shows an animated snowman: http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0LEVi3xpa1VUFwAIa8PxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTE0cnRnYXJmBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkA0ZGWFVJMzlfMQ--/RV=2/RE=1437472370/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fwatch%3fv%3dArWY-Ck-CPc/RK=0/RS=Rv1Zxeij9sX.SqT8YBcO3ovNkTg- I thinksomething like this could be done on the TI.
