Sock Master
Here's a better video of Donkey Kong Remixed in action. (Playing the "Remix B" option which shows the new levels sooner in the progression of the game.)
Supergun
(TECH) Does anybody here know how to possibly assemble an eprom cartridge of this game rather then dealing with having it on a disk? Surely there must be some way to do it? The last few carts produced were already hitting 64 and 128 kb. Some research I found: "Greg Zumwalt's best game on the Coco platform. An article was published in Rainbow magazine by Greg, explaining how the "Super-Cartridge" worked (the MMU hardware), and at that time it was revealed that prototype boards had been made for up to 512KB ROM cartridges, but no such large game was ever released.one of only 2 cartridge games that used MMU (Memory Management Unit) hardware, to allow the Coco 3 cartridge port to have more than 32KB of ROM space." "The Color Computer 1&2 had a simple ROM limit of 16k. With the introduction of the CoCo 3, the ROM limit was double to 32k by using the option of disabling internal 16k BASIC ROM. But that is the limit to the standard ROM Pak." "So how do you access more than 32k of ROM on a COCO 3? You must put the ROM banking circuit on the cartridge. While this is not unheard of (common on the Atari 2600), not so for the COCO because this would double if not triple the cost of the COCO 3 Game Pak. I don't recall any Game Paks released with more than 32k because of the overriding cost issue. (But I could be wrong.)" Present day technology, cost would be a non issue. So theoretically, can it be done? Edited September 4, 2015 by Supergun
