lonesome_pa
Is it just on my end? The "official" time on the board's front page is about 1 hr 10 minutes behind. Wanted to make sure it wasn't on my end.

Thomas Jentzsch
Server time?
Albert
I have set the clock on the server to the correct time (it was only off by a few minutes), but this forum software does not support the concept of Daylight Savings Time. Unfortunately there is little I can do about that at the moment, and the only "fix" is for people to update their GMT settings in their profile to adjust for it. Yes, I know it's a pain in the neck, and it looks like the next version of phpbb will support DST. For instance, I just set mine to "GMT - 5 Hours" instead of the "GMT - 6 Hours" that it was previously set to. Now I see the correct time.. ..Al

Really? That's hard to believe. But IMO updating the profile twice a years isn't such a big problem.
Albert
Really? That's hard to believe. Yes, trust me, that is the case. You are free to go search the phpBB Forums for Daylight Savings Time to find the countless posts on this subject. It comes up everytime we pass a DST barrier. It looks like DST support *may* be in version 2.2 of the software, but who knows when that will be ready (and it surely will cause us tons of headaches with all the mods we've done to AA). But IMO updating the profile twice a years isn't such a big problem. No, but still annoying. ..Al
NE146
I don't even look at the time. On a msg board like this one you can reply to a post even from 2 years ago.. so what does the time matter?
Nukey Shay
Good point. These days when even toasters have clocks on them, I'm ashamed to admit that I have looked at the time here before
