Joel D. Park
Any idea of the rarity/value of an Off Your Rocker cart. -- The Amiga cart with the hand written label on it. http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...ItemTypeID=CART It doesn't seem too popular, is that because of it's rarity, or do people just not want carts with hand written labels. CincYnoTi
i'm not sure if this should be called a prototype. it is more an unreleased game like Pepsi Invaders (also released without an official label) or more of a limited release game like eli's ladder, never sold in stores. it seems to be available in a lot more quantity than rarity=9 games like malagai, but not as common as quadrun . i would say it is rarity 8 or 9. i guess i'll have to start watching ebay for that one. come to think of it, the titles like donald duck and xevious probably should have an entry with a rarity in addition to their prototype listing. these were also available without an official atari label, but were definitely available in unknown, but limited quantity -- more quantity than a one/two-of-a-kind prototype with loaner label. Good point here. Since the game was technically distributed, I can't see why it's a prototype. They are not all that hard to come by. I have one I got off Ebay for about $100. It has a partially torn label, but who cares? It's just a hand written label anyway.
Joel D. Park
I was kind of impressed at how consistant the hand written labels are. The fellow that labeled them and sold them took alot of time making sure the labels all looked about the same. Though I've seen some with different color lettering.
