Yea well if I wanted ICONS instead of words I can type using letters called ENGLISH or what ever language is how we communicate.

 

Putting stupid ICONS in place of them is just beyond stupid.

 

Again why change a standard around for 30 years?

 

What next just freaking ignore every key on the keyboard and require 3 keys for each key to just type HELLO would require an OVERLAY?

 

Sounds like Surprise Soup for labels removed from cans....you have no idea what you get.

You've a fair point, Rich. I often bemoan the way the younger people type to one another, nowadays, it's all mis-spelt words or shortened versions of words all covered in "emoticons".

 

Apparently "WUU2" means "What you up to?". When my daughter wrote that to me I asked her who had gotten her drunk.
