litoskin
Last week ,my family start moving in a new house and we have found in the old garage these old 2600 games . I thought my mother sold them in the middle of nineties.. all are pal version ,they are all quite complete of manual box and cartridge . Are there some rare games between them? Regards Marco
Lord Innit
I'm not clued up on rarity but some games there are missing from my collection. That's a nice lot you've got there.

Philflound
Asterix, Guardian, and Exocet are the best in the lot. Laser Gates would be pretty good too. Are you sure Journey Escape is PAL? I'm unaware of Data Age making PAL under that company, but rather under Gameworld. Phil
Philflound
Guardian is very Rare Don't know how well a PAL version is valued vs an NTSC though.
karokoenig
What the hell is the box on the top right? "Matra 3600" or "Matha 3600"...? Never seen that before and can't find anything related in atariboxed.com or Atarimania.
Lord Innit
Matra 3600 was an Italian clone console if memory serves... What the hell is the box on the top right? "Matra 3600" or "Matha 3600"...? karokoenig
Interesting. Thanks for the info, Lord Innit. I haven't seen those before. Also, with this info I now have found the games in the Atarimania database: http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari-2600-vcs-matra-3600_publisher_2089_2_G.html I would guess there aren't too many of those around these days, especially boxed. Rom Hunter
Guardian is the rarest. The Guardian and Journey Escape are both NTSC, not PAL. Edited October 5, 2015 by Rom Hunter

Regards Marco You have a really nice lot, in good condition for starting collecting atari 2600 games. I would not sell it. Some guys would be very happy if they had all their games from the past yet. where are you located? Italy? you can search for rarities of your games here -> www.atariboxed.com most of your games are common, but the Guardian is by far the rarest in the lot. (no matter if it is ntsc or pal) i wouldn't bet on it, that the game is really NTSC. if you have the time to look at the manual, or make a screenshot (if you have the console), could be helpful. is maybe a french manual inside? and yes, Journey Escape can only be a NTSC Game. can you please tell me what Matra 3600 Game this is? it looks like a single game and not a multicart. there must be a vcart inside. please take a look here, if we have listed it here. http://www.atariboxed.com/index.php?go=output&dir=DESC&rows_per_page=50&select_company=48&select_system=1 many thanks
litoskin
Yes i'm from italy these games are a part of many more i owned together with my brother until first nineties. some of them were lost and sold when i was 20 years and i stop playing with my consoles. then after some years my passion come back and i start playing again with more advanced consoles (Nintendo,Lynx,Jaguar) My brother still have a lot of 2600 and 7800 games many of them are a part of our old collection. i have bought all games in italy and i thought all of them were in pal because all of them worked good (with image in color)on my european pal console. how i recognize if a game is PAL or NTSC ? Rom Hunter
Interesting. I have your cart listed here:http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari-2600-vcs-taiwan-yellow-title_publisher_2424_2_G.html It's good to know this one (also) came in a Matra 3600 box. Matra 3600 games are Taiwanese games produced by Kingway Electronics and distributed in Italy by GRA.DI. Most of them 8-in-1 multi games:http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari-2600-vcs-matra-3600_publisher_2089_2_G.html Could you make a scan / good quality picture of the front of your cart? As you can see, our scan is not too good:http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-river-raid-ii_17486.html Check here to see if your Guardian has the same manual:http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-guardian_11837.html Edited October 6, 2015 by Rom Hunter
iwan-iwanowitsch-goratschin
Guardian PAL exists.....and Italy is one of those places where they popped up in the past. It would not surprise me if Marco' s copy would be the PAL version! You never can tell what version it is by just using the pic as source! Philflound
This may sound like a dumb question, but will NTSC games scroll when turned on in a PAL country? I figure they might since the PAL scrolls for me here in the US. Phil
karokoenig
No, they won't roll. I have lots of NTSC games in my collection. They play fine, just a little slower. And the colours are different.

litoskin
i have also found this strange 2600 cart...the name emduro seems an error probably the real game is enduro... what do you think about it?
Schitti
It is most probably a cart from the Taiwan - 2600 Compatible Series. Nothing special, but nice to see. You can find these carts with unusual spellings mostly in the Netherlands. This Series is a bottomless Pit
