CoCo Label Variation: The TDP Games

When Tandy rebranded the CoCo to sell them outside Radio Shack stores, they created the TDP-100. They also rebadged several rompaks. I believe there are 7 games that have the TDP (Tandy Data Products) box, label, and manual. Here are three that I have. Even within the manuals they say TDP-100s instead of TRS-80 Color Computers.

I have a chess that is branded TDP. I assume that is one of the 7?

I don't have Chess as part of the 7. That makes 8 ;-). These are from on old post on the CoCo mailing list, so it isn't definitive. Is Chess 10-1304? There are 3 or 4 more TDP cartridges with numbers above those below, but they are not game rompaks.

Bustout (Super) TDP 10-1300

Microbes TDP 10-1305

Polaris TDP 10-1303

Project Nebula TDP 10-1302

Shooting Gallery TDP 10-1306

Space Assault TDP 10-1301

Here are the non-game TDP rompaks from the list. I assume there is 10-1310 and 10-1311 out there? But, I don't know which programs they would be.

Non-Game TDP:

Personal Finance TDP 10-1307

Color File TDP 10-1308

Spectaculator TDP 10-1309

Videotex (TRS-80) TDP 10-1312

I have both the TRS-80 Chess cartridge and the TDP Cartridge. The TDP is Part number 10-1313

So, putting them together by item number we get the list below. It seems like there would be a 10-1304, 10-1310, and 10-1311.

JamesD, that's sad to hear. You don't see them often and they look really solid and professional in my opinion.

Yeah, and I spent under $40 on it too, plus it had an upgraded keyboard.

They look nice and it has better cooling than the other CoCo 1 models. The CoCo 2 uses the same vent setup.

The white CoCo 1 looks pretty good too and I have one of those so I'll survive.

I'll keep a lookout and see if I catch one of those numbers.. Radio shack must have changed there labels every time they changed the coco's case or something too. if you check out this auction there is a Chess cartridge with a different label. It does have the same part number as mine though as far as I could read it is 26-3050

Bumping this old thread because I felt the need to contribute additional information.

Number 10 can be added now.

Picked up almost a full set of these over the weekend, missing only Spectaculator and the mysterious Learning Lab.

Was the Learning Lab actually released on cartridge? If (admittedly dim) memory serves, it was just on cassette.
