Trebor
Screenshots... It is a graphic hack of Pole Position II. Sound and gameplay remains true to the original source. Tracks, layout, and backgrounds appear very similar, if not the same, for the most part. However, several graphics are updated or tweaked one way or another. There are multiple files included, inclusive but not exclusive to NTSC and PAL, regular and invincible versions, as well as a possible BIOS swap binary provided for both regions.

It says Pole Position 3 2. Seaside is now SanFran 3. The cars now have a spoiler. 4. I don't understand the number three being in front of the car all the time. 5. In general, I like the hack. Thanks.

bikeguychicago
You could always follow the pattern Namco has established on basically every other console and call it Pole Position II Remix
VectorGamer
You could always follow the pattern Namco has established on basically every other console and call it Pole Position II Remix To call it Pole Position 3 I would think there would be whole new tracks created. Since that's not the case, I would think something along the lines (as you said) Pole Position II Remix or maybe Pole Position II+ would be more appropriate. That way if someone comes along and hacks Pole Position II with all new tracks and maybe other hacks they could take Pole Position III since it would be more of an upgrade to the game. 78001987
maybe just called it Pole Position 2 (graphics hack) since that's all it is. it's not a "new game" as the thread title indicates.
Defender_2600
Blue Azure does a great (new) job of disassembly, he is a generous guy. And in the Atari (VCS) era a variation of the game is a new game!
Lynxpro
Maybe HSC could be added to it. Curt said over on Facebook that the original Pole Position 2 didn't actually have HSC coding in it.
