san-d-2000
But is the Konami code in the game? I think he started with the Konami code of the MSX version, and added and improved it.

We did that with the msx Salamander https://youtu.be/ZjAOBCY2Rog You could use for voice the coleco audio chip is it possible to add speech without freezing the game on cv... i dont program at all but what i read is that the cv dont have enough cycle to do both at the same time... artrag
The msx in the video has the same power as the coleco (if not a bit less due to wait states). The 'miracle' is in the encoding algorithm used for voice that works on the interrupt and sounds fine also with 3 channels (msx is using 5 channels). I was working on that idea but I did not get very far (my best sample below). Is your converter available somewhere? artrag
You can take the last stand alone voice encoder here https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/development/voice-synthesis-on-isr?page=12 Actually supporting coleco would require to limit the lower frequencies to 110Hz. The current implementation cuts at 29Hz to keep into account AY8910. Moreover attenuations have to be encoded from scratch. Is there a formula to convert amplitudes to 4 bit encoded values? Tursi
I'll respond in PM, I don't want to flood the Gradius thread (unless others want to chime in).
opcode
Konami code: Up to you to find out... Voice: adding voice to Gradius at this point would delay even further all 3 products, since they are all linked together to go to the factory. Furthermore, the original Gradius arcade never had voice. We can save that for Salamander or Gradius 2.

AtariBrian
I think the video said something about another two months before boxes will come in and I would assume another month or more after that so possibly November/December .

opcode
Hi all, Long story short: We are estimating Penguin Adventure and Gradius shipping to pre-orders in early October, based on suppliers estimates SGM 3rd run shipping second half of October, again based on suppliers estimates. Next 4 games and completion estimates: Donkey Kong(70%), Pac-Man DX(90%), Lady Bug(30%) and The Maze of Galious(30%) Pre-order for next 4 games to start after Penguin Adventure and Gradius start shipping Pre-order for 4th run of the SGM to start after 3rd run starts shipping We underestimated effort required to create all those things from scratch (packaging templates, PCBs, find supliers, etc). Everything is brand new, except for the plastic cases Next 4 games and SGM should go smoother, since we now have all the templates and suppliers in place. Boxes for all 4 games have been created, 2 boxes already printing Our sincere apologies for the delays. We are working hard to get everything shipped ASAP. Please check our facebook page for videos, including videos of the boxes printing.
