MattG/Snyper2099
Today I spent $200 on video games. But, now I can play hundreds of more games... Now I have a PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube. But, now I don't have any games for any of these systems. I love Halo as well as Super monkey ball and Super Smash Bros. Melee is a great game too. But what should I buy? And before anyone begs to know how I got these 3 systems for $200, K-mart decided to sell me their display systems to me since they were closing the store near me. Back to the games though, what should I spend my money on? Activision Anthology perhaps? Are the bonus commecials and such really worth buying this title new? MattG. MegaManFan
Back to the games though, what should I spend my money on? Activision Anthology perhaps? Are the bonus commecials and such really worth buying this title new? MattG. Other than the spotty emulation of Pitfall II, I'd rate it a must own for PS2. 90% and up. And since they are all available as Greatest Hits, you can hardly go wrong with titles like Midnight Club, Metal Gear Solid 2, Red Faction, Jak & Daxter, et cetera. On GameCube, Super Monkey Ball is definitely the right place to start; from there I'd expand into Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros Melee, Mario Sunshine, Def Jam Vendetta, Sonic Mega Collection, and more. X-Box I can't say anything about since I don't have one. Congrats on all your new purchases!

AtariX
The Best of the Best for XBox(I'm kinda a Sega fan, so I'm a little biased there): Halo(one of the best FPS ever) Dead or Alive 3(Great 3D fighting game) Project Gotham Racing(Best racer on the XB) Silent Hill 2(Survival Horror, XB version has better graphics and a few extras) Gunvalkyrie(excellent 3D shooter, kinda like Space Harrier, but with mind blowing graphics and you can go anywhere, hard though) Morrowind(free roaming American/Euro style RPG, excellent RPG, but super deep and long, 100 to 200 hours long) Dead to Rights(kinda like Max Payne but with more variety) Shenmue II(Adventure/RPG, enhanced over the DC version) Crazy Taxi 3(extreme driving, if you loved the original, you will love this game, includes an enhanced version of CT, the downtown part of CT2, and CT3 in Vegas) The House of the Dead III(Excellent lightgun game, includes HOD2) MechAssualt(Good but kinda short, game becomes excellent if you have XB Live) Splinter Cell(the best military stealth action game out right now) Unreal Championship(Same as MA, good game, but becomes even better with XB Live) Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball(I like this game, very Japanese though, kinda a dating/volleyball/collection/casino type sim game) Panzer Dragoon Orta(excellent 3D shooter with mind blowing super fast graphics, also includes a bunch of side quests and the original Panzer Dragoon) Games to look forward to in the next month or two: Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War(FPS) Brute Force(3rd person/first person squad based shooter) Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge(Flight Sim shooter) Phantasy Star Online(RPG, only good if you get Xbox Live) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic(Bioware RPG)

Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Duh back at ya! It's a great game (especially the Battle of Endor) and surprisingly reduced in price these days. Gabriel
As a "Complete NES Games Freak" you might want to pick up Final Fantasy Origins. It's a PS1 game, but that's one of the good points of the PS2. The only GameCube game I feel I can strongly recommend is Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters. We had some three player games of it a while back and it was a blast. There isn't really much worth getting on the X-Box. If you like fighting games, get DOA3. There just isn't much worth playing on it. Back to the PS2: Gun Game = Time Crisis 2 for methodical shooting, Ninja Assault for index finger blistering arcade shooting action. Fighting = Tekken Tag Tournament is the best option available at the current time, and its a $20 game! Driving = Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. 3d scrolling beat 'em up = Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends. RPG = Hard to say. Xenosaga is nice, but it's more FMV than game. Final Fantasy X is a bit on the dull side. Grandia II is an excellent game, but suffers from being a poor port of a Dreamcast game. For RPGs, loot the PS1 section of local video game stores. AtariDude
If you have friends who like to come over and play video games, I suggest Mario Party for the Gamecube. My godson brings his system to my house from time to time and it is fun to play although he generally wins most of the time.
