Super Pac-Man and all the other games will go into the next poll as they all got votes. I see that TRBB is placing the blame of tie-breaker squarely on my shoulders. If you want to throw thanks, then please throw them my way... if you want to throw tomatoes... then please throw them toward the person who really chose the game: TRBB! I was a little bit confused when I was playing one of the rounds (it was round 17 i believe). I "did something" and suddendly layout of the level changed from one to another. Anybody got any idea what happened? I think you are the only one (ever) to get that far... a screenshot would be good and perhaps we can get this fixed Was it a 'first' board - perhaps you ran out of time and it flipped to a 2nd one? [looks like the layouts are fixed so what sort of score were you at and I'll see if I can reach it. It wasn't me OK if you are keen to play and I am, believe me, this might be a long 2 weeks, but, I want to give everyone time to join in. If we have more games it's just as likely to put people off, especially those who join in late in the two week period - there's a few more people who have said they will play, plus there are some who will get my emails/see the various adverts on the Atari sites over the period. ballyalley Posted January 26, 2016 Share Posted January 26, 2016 My previous personal high score that I set for "IXION" (during HSC11, Round 9) was 209,890 points. As usual, I really did play the game at the last minute during the HSC Season 11. I figured that I'd do better this round (and this entire season) if I started playing the game right away, and then continued to play a little bit each day-- rather than "cramming" on the next-to-last-day (which is my usual style!).I beat my personal high score this morning by 28,140 points-- that seems like a good-enough score to post:IXION - 238,030 - (Played on real NTSC 130XE hardware) Since no bonus game has been selected yet, I think I'll take a look around for one today or tomorrow. Maybe I can find something similar to "IXION," although nothing springs to mind right away. It's also time that I look at what it takes to get some bonus points this round. Those do add up during the season, plus it's fun working toward a different goal in a game rather then just aiming at a high score. Oh, and I really hate that red bad in later levels. Third round 154.060 - tempted to try another one.... 177.770, time to go to bed. Hate it when I get stuck in a corner and can't hit the orange ball to get more tiles repaired to move around. SECOND: I'm trying to use my original Atari 8bit, the way I used it when I was 13 years old... that is stock 800XL with 1050 diskdrive. So I created for myself a real 5.25" floppy disk with IXION on it (booted from Dos 2.5) yeah... Well... There is a particular screen around the 300K mark that can steal a lot of lives - this is the thing with IXION, it can be going great then you get psyched out on a screen - it has the Millipede overwhelm the player feel to it It took me another 5 hours to reach that level but... here you go.
