Bitmap Mode Paint Program

Found this over in the Colecovision section. I gave it a quick try, and it's pretty slick! You can draw for a number of systems, including TMS9918A bitmap mode (select 'MSX').

One of the nicer features (and this was mentioned in the other thread too) is that as you hover over a set of pixels, it changes them to show what the color clash effect will do before you commit to it. Very nice. It has a text-mode export that is easily adaptable to source code for import, as well as a binary mode and its own custom format.

 

I did have it lock up trying to load a "broken" file (I was trying to see if we could get it to load TI Artist easily ). I don't see an easy way to deal with that... converting to PNG is probably the easiest way to import right now. (I used ThumbsPlus and my Photoshop plugin to do the conversion from TI Artist back to PNG... it looks like it loaded fine.)
