reklen
I recently purchased a Burgertime Game complete in box, but the plastic cover is in bad condition. Is there a website or someone who replaces them, or has old covers, or makes new one? Any one know? Thank you

+Schmitzi
hmm, is it cheating if you just buy another but "cheap" cartridge in the same but good box, and then just swap that ? or is this not "original" ?

reklen
Yes, that's the one. I'll probably do what you suggested, and buy a cheaper game in the box, and switch them out. But if anyone knows where to find replacements, let me know. Thanks for answering/
+OLD CS1
I am certain I have a couple I could spare. PM me tomorrow to remind me.
+Vorticon
I wonder how hard it would be to manufacture these boxes. They would be great for all the new software coming out and will work just as well for disks and carts.
ti99iuc
some year ago an ebayer sold a whole lot of these boxes in auction: who won that auction ? anyway i think that cardboard boxes are more easy to produce. +Schmitzi
. I think just another hoarder won this auction
+OLD CS1
I bid on that auction. ISTR I lost it to a sniper, but now I do not recall. My thought was to make them available for new games.

ti99iuc
Yes the original ones have plastic insert in them, but for examble, produsing carton boxes for homebrew software we could think to use cardboard boxes and Styrofoam properly carved... i done some tries and decided for this kind of solution... +OLD CS1
Sadly, I checked the ones I have (four of them) and not one of them is in really good shape. I have one that is not bad, but it has a buckle in one of the corners.

schuwalker
Anybody else besides me just loathe these style of boxes? Really curious on why the transition to these style of boxes??? I inherited a bunch of software from my dad's TI stash a while a back. One of the boxes was Typing Tutor in that style. Literally, the front plastic shell crumbled in my hands :/ On a side note, I have about a dozen boxes where there is a small window in the spine of the box. What's the story w/ these? +Ksarul
The ones with the window in the box spine are from the 1979-1980 time period. If you put the cartridge in properly, the text on the label shows through the window, and made it so that just one one box type was appropriate for almost all of the cartridges out there. These usually also have a front cover that opens like a book to show the manual.
+Schmitzi
. here I have a picture, to demonstrate that (I hope I understood right)
