+save2600
Pretty neat device! Could see where SW would be fun to mess around with too. I know people have sent each other e-mails, programs, etc. (called packeting?) through SW/LW airwaves using PC's. Somehow, be more fun using a vintage computer like the C64, TI and Atari's for stuff like that.

I hear it is still going strong these days but most people have "upgraded" their rigs to Windows machines. I have seen a few packet radio kits for the 64 pop up on eBay over the past year and thought long and hard about grabbing one.
iKarith
I would use my retrocomputers for packet radio if I could, but generally I don't have a TNC. Closest I've got is my Kenwood which has a soundmodem interface billed as "Echolink compatibility". I still need to consider upgrading my ticket, but ... I can't do HF (antenna nazis and in a steel building.)
