I always thought it was the seller spraying contact cleaner in it or something prior to shipping. I should have known...now I do. eightbit Posted July 26, 2017 Share Posted July 26, 2017 Well, I came home and did this tonight. My felt looked clean just like the other post, so I guess this TI has not been used much. That will change as luck would have it my FinalGROM99 arrived today as well I do have to say that pad was oily as sin though...glad it is out. I used a soft toothbrush and dawn and scrubbed the heck out of the entire connector under hot water. Then dried and used compressed air as suggested earlier to dry the port completely. Reassembled and we are back in business....now with oil free insertion and removal There were some really useful posts in this thread.
