0078265317
But the link says only 1 button works. So no pole position 2 then I suspect? Or is there a way to get 2nd button working. If not I will not be interested. My ac adapter is coming tomorrow so I will test what supplies I currently have and see.
Jinks
0078yjjv any genisis and 2600 controller works on the 7800 in one button mode if there is an adapter for sale ya think it would work in 2 button mode or it would not be adapting anything?? It says button b and c are mapped for 2 button use.. Where did you read it the link"only one button works"????
0078265317
Must of read wrong. Don't see that post anymore.
0078265317
Maybe we should have a separate thread like list of controllers that work or have been confirmed.
fiddlepaddle
Maybe we should have a separate thread like list of controllers that work or have been confirmed. What's a "thread like list"... are you suggesting a separate post for each controller that is tested with this adapter? (or maybe doing something unusual with your sewing machine?) My guess is that if one Genny controller works, they all will.
+grips03
Buttons B and C map to Atari 7800, example: in Commando B is fire and C is grenade Also supports Sega Genesis controller on Atari 2600 (single fire button)

No I am just saying one thread where all post what controllers we have tried on our 7800's and what has worked. And what has not.
0078265317
And also I have some third party genesis controllers that don't work. Or maybe they are defective. So if one works all will is not a good theory.
Jinks
And also I have some third party genesis controllers that don't work. Or maybe they are defective. So if one works all will is not a good theory.Every 9 pin digital classic controller will work but only give you one button. Every atari factory 7800 controller will give you 2. Every genny, nes, sms, etc will work in 2 button mode with an adapter that someone says will work with those joysticks. You are 100% correct if your controller does not work right it is hooped.. I have at least 12 or 16 different controllers to try and I know all this from fact.

+grips03
I test adapters with Sega brand Genesis controllers, both 3 and 6 buttons work great.
0078265317
I don't ever remember selling you an adapter. You didn't. That's why we were discussing what works and what does not to get some idea before we consider buying.

0078265317
I mean I have some controllers that don't work in the first place on 2600 and probably 7800. Like not all buttons working. Or only some. So even with an adapter it would not matter. So just saying if one works all will is not a good theory. I don't have an adapter.

0078265317
Maybe they ment originally not with the adapter. Anyhow its been deleted so I don't know.
0078265317
BTW just out of curiosity could this be made as an adapter not a cable? I mean no wire inbetween. Just 9 pin on both sides. One male hook into my 7800 directly and the female to connect into my controllers. Cables are ok but wear or sometimes. An adapter would be cool. NinjaWarrior
Does the Adapter work on the Master System Contoller?
+grips03
Does the Adapter work on the Master System Contoller? Adapter is tested with Sega brand 3 and 6 button controllers. It is not designed to work with SMS controller.
0078265317
Actually an adapter would be nice. It would not break and I can use an extension cable to hook it up.

Then click the link and read that. Then read your post you just made. Then read the first post again. See if that gives you any clues.
0078265317
I know it says 6 inches. But I was hoping for a work around. Also says supports single fire button in 2600 and I can do that anyway without an adapter. My nes controllers with camerica adapters move left and right and fire with the left button. No sega adapter needed.
0078265317
And my genesis 3 button controllers works. On space invaders 2600 middle button fires and dpad goes left and right.
0078265317
I decided to order a seagull78 instead.
