spacecadet
So maybe some of you have seen this thread. I'm getting kinda desperate - I have several computers set up in my basement that I can't use because I have no monitor. Thought I was on track to win an auction for a Magnavox equivalent today, but it went a lot higher than I wanted to spend at the last minute. What I need is a monitor that will do digital RGB, analog RGB, composite, plus I guess S-video (the C64 output). I was told in that thread that the Commodore 1084 is probably the best option, or the Philips cm8833-ii or Magnavox Monitor 40 (CM8505 seems to be the actual model #). I'm not too concerned about cosmetic condition, as long as it works reliably. Alternatively, I'd consider just a cheap CGA monitor, and then use a TV for the older 8 bit stuff. When I search for "CGA monitor" on Ebay, everything that comes up is in the hundreds of dollars, which seems ridiculous. I will pay to ship, or if you're in the NY area, I would pick up. I'd probably be willing to drive up to 100 miles or so. Thanks...
Osgeld
I dont have a monitor but over the 4th of july I had a week off and cobbled together a CGA to NTSC adapter. its not perfect and its black n white only but it may be of some use to you until you get a monitor http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254485-recording-cga-monochrome-graphics-to-youtube/?p=3546595
