PlayStation Now Coming to PC

There's a promo to get it for $8 bucks a month or $99 for a year here:

Not worth it for me but would be kind of cool to fire up God of War or Infamous on a PC. I see some PSP games on the list too.

The problems I see is the price will raise at some point in the future, games may will disappear, and streaming generally sucks for action games.

Also another red flag is only subscription based games can be played, other games on the list need to be rented.

That sucks.

Anyone been able to try this yet? Here is the link for the 7 day trial.

I think this actually a good business idea from Sony. The last time I gave Sony any money was for the PS2, but now I've got a PC connected to the TV, so I've got no need for a PS3 or PS4. So for many years Sony have not been getting any money from me. However I would pay a small amount each month to play some of PS3 games on my PC, so they have found a way to get some money from me again.

However, the big problem for me is that my internet access is very unreliable. Streaming video is fine because it can buffer but I think that the constant updating a game requires wont work well. Only a few streets away there is homes with "fibre-to-premises" broadband but our street is still old copper cables.

Streaming games sucked though. Nice idea but without good Internet it's impractical. We only have 15 Meg here and are roughly the middle of the country so to far from large server farms so for now streaming is a no go.

Edit. Unless streaming is more reliable on Pc than on ps4
