Sinphaltimus
I'm looking for a 43/86 edge connector not necessarily a TI one for way less that $22.This is the only place I found with them available and they want $22 each + shipping. Not sure I'm willing to do that as I have other ideas.http://www.surplussales.com/ComputerAccess/con_edge.html
+Ksarul
How about these? I buy stuff from this source all the time. They are reliable. Just make sure what you really need are on .156 centers. All of our TI stuff uses .100 centers, but as you noted that these were for something else that might not apply.
Sinphaltimus
Those look a bit narrow. My biggest issue is finding the correct size. I've read of people hacking ISA slots from a PC. I should look up one of those. Here's all i have to go on right now (page 242) - http://classiccomputers.info/down/Commodore/Amiga/Amiga_A500_A2000_Technical_Reference%20Manual_1987.pdfI'm looking for the connector so I can solder my own wires to it and expand the expansion port (looking to throw my A500 in to an ATX case soon)http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=84347 Edited October 8, 2016 by Sinphaltimus
+Lee Stewart
Those look a bit narrow. My biggest issue is finding the correct size. ... How thick is your PCB? Those connectors accommodate 0.054" – 0.07". The cartridge PCBs we all use for the TI-99/4A are 0.07" thick. ...lee
+Ksarul
OK, based on reading the thread and the fact that you can cut down an ISA connector for this--I can definitively say that the connector you originally identified as too expensive and the one I found are both inappropriate for your purposes. You need a connector with .100 spacing between side-to-side contacts, and both of those were .156, which is much too wide.

I'm looking to make a flex cable so to speak (short) for the side expansion port of the A500.
