Atari Rescue Group
I found a Lynx II today for $5.00 Unfortunately it doesn't work. I tried batteries and my neighbor who has one plugged in his power supply and it wouldn't fire up. What usually makes these things die? I'd like to get it to growl again. cryptik76
Do you have a Lynx game plugged into the system before you turn it on? It won't turn on without a Lynx game in the cartridge slot.
oesii
A dead cat?! Lynx=type of wild cat. Don't lose that free Ballblazer I'm sending you Sorry I don't know about fixing up the Lynx, I know at a video shop around here they are always resoldering Nomads at the power supply port to get them working again. Maybe someone who knows what they are doing can have a look at it.
Atari Rescue Group
Yup, a game was in the slot before turning the unit on. Hopefully I'll be able to find someone who will be able to fix it.
TheBizDude
It will turn on with no cart in the slot. "Insert Game" should come across the screen in red letters. I seem to recall something about a "Q4" transistor often being the culprit. If you dig deep enough into these threads, you should come across something.
