MadZiontist
A Video Game Historian recently requested 2 ROMs, Birthday Mania and this game, Actionauts. I checked my drives and had AN but no BM. I googled each a bit, and they're both unbelievably rare. I'm sure many of you have this, but for those that don't: http://www.mediafire.com/file/98zfb95i2okd1r5/ A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May next year be better than last!
+Nathan Strum
You can read all about Actionauts here. Whether it's unbelievable or not...
MadZiontist
So I didn't read all of it. But I did take away from it that there was a lotta fussin' goin' on, and it looks like the ROM was released? Anyways, I don't know why some of the biggest Atari sites have a dump listed as unavailable. Anwho, I just wanted to take an opportunity to put it out there for some who seemed to be having trouble finding it. I didn't see the author of the game post anywhere that he didn't want it redistributed. I didn't read through very many posts. Too tired for drama right now lol. Rom Hunter
Anyways, I don't know why some of the biggest Atari sites have a dump listed as unavailable. Because the original 1984 proto ROM is still unavailable. Edited December 29, 2016 by Rom Hunter
hizzy
Is it a popular game? Is it fun? I've seen it for sale on occasion, but passes because it looked clunky.
Supergun
Because the original 1984 proto ROM is still unavailable. Well, at least we know exactly where it is. It's really just a question of wether or not Rob wants to ever release it. In all honesty, I don't think he ever would. It's probably some buggy & incomplete work in progress that he wishes to keep private. Most writers don't care to reveal their early rough drafts. My thoughts exactly. Would love to see it one day in its original 70%, though.
