kyle
I need some new paddle controllers my eyesight has gotten too bad to clean mine so I'm looking to buy a set that are nice clean and jitter free!
peedenmark7
Invest in some electronics spray cleaner , open up the back and spray the pots out, usually good as new afterwards. CRC makes a really good product, red can , get it any true value or Ace hardware store.
kyle
I thought you had to take the whole controller apart and take the pot out to fully clean it ?
+save2600
Nah, just remove the two screws off the back and using the thin straw that comes with the cleaner, spray into the opening of the pot, near the terminals. Rotate several turns, wipe up any excess and you should be good to go.
kyle
I'll try it. If that doesn't work looks like I'm ordering from best electronics

+save2600
I've used DeOxit D5 for years, but recently bought a pair of Best's lifetime pots just for the heck of it. Even though contact cleaners work extremely well and bring nearly everything back to life for quite a while, figured new pots might have a different feel to them. Will get around to installing one of these days and see.
AtariBrian
Spraying contact cleaner doesn't really fix the problem . Very temporary . Also , I don't think Best sells paddles with super pots but they do sell just the super pots that you have to solder in to your own set .
