Classic Pac
Recently I bought an Import DSi and why not it was in the box and still a full $15 cheaper than any of the American version and I later found out why. The SD card slot doesn't work, but that isn't important. What are is that 2 of my DS games won't run on it, Toy Story 3 and Sonic Classic Collection. Really I don't know if it's a compatibility issue or the games stopped working period. Meanwhile the other 7 games in my collection work fine, Any guesses? Atariboy
The DSi introduced region locking to the DS line. So any DSi Enhanced releases (which both of those are) respect the region lock and will not run on out of region hardware, including on the backwards compatible 3DS. Only regular DS titles are region free, which is why your other 7 games work just fine. An unreliable source at Digital Press even told me once that DSi Enhanced titles that are backwards compatible with straight DS hardware (Which was virtually the entire line since there are barely any retail DSi exclusives), even won't work on out of region DS and DS Lites despite that hardware predating the introduction of region locking. But I can't personally attest to that last bit and this individual's track record for accuracy was fair at best.
