which 12v voltage regulators

I need to replace a few 12v voltage regulatorson some TI manufactured cards, like 32k, Rs232, etc

 

Should it be this one:

 

#1 at Jameco item # 51334 HERE

 

or

 

#2 at Jameco item # 51335 HERE

 

#1 i have ordered before and it works but part of the regulator is thicker than a 7805 and the front bottom near the led will not allow the stock card to be placed on it again.

 

I also noticed #1 seems to be able to output multiple voltages based on the datasheet. the pictures are just stock photos.

 

Anyone order 12v ones from Jameco before for replacing, and which ones ?

902127 is what I've always used, but your 51334 suffices. When multiple voltages are listed for fixed regulators, that usually means there are several part numbers in the same series that have same specs, minus voltage of course.

Once in a while you run into physical tolerance issues on bulk versus manufacturer listings. A TO-220 outline changes slightly whether it is packaged in tray, rail, flat pack, etc. but not usually enough to cause problems.

I have the Jameco 51334 but it's too thick where the screw goes through and does not allow the case to shut on the LED side.

 

I'm wondering if the Mouser will be better.
