Skippy B. Coyote
Sparing you all the backstory I'm once again in need of an Atari 7800 system. I'm hoping to find one in very good condition with no chips or cracks and minimal scratching on the chrome bezel. I would prefer a composite video modded system but would settle for a system with regular RF output if the system was in exceptional condition. Price wise I'm pretty flexible and am open to negotiation but I would prefer not to spend more than $120 shipped on a compsite modded system with power supply or about half that for a system with RF output. Again though I am open to negotiation based on the condition of the system being offered. Thanks for taking the time to view my ad and feel free to shoot me a PM if you happen to have a system that you think I might be interested in. masschamber
We all know exactly what the back story is. But I'm heading to a big buy tomorrow, guy says he has lots of old computers and games, specifically atari, so if their is a 7800 I'll mod it up for you and sell it your way, but you'll have to wait till i get back from the buy

Good luck on the buy and just let me know if you happen to find anything good 7800 wise.
masschamber
turned out to be a bunch of really nice vintage macs and an atari 5200 track ball in box. so I guess quite the awesome buy but not what you were looking for
Skippy B. Coyote
It's no worries at all masschamber. I actually found just what I was looking for on eBay this afternoon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/142334626313 They parted out the lot a bit for me and sold me just the 7800 system with power supply, composite cables, and Asteroids, Centipede, Dig Dug, and Ms. Pac-Man for what I thought was a quite reasonable $125. masschamber
well if I couldn't do it myself I'd say the extra like 40 or so would be worth it to avoid using rf.... do try to enjoy it and not bail again this time.....joking....or am I? Skippy B. Coyote
lol If you are joking you probably shouldn't be. Never fear though, I've had a good few months to miss having a 7800 and find out that it is one system I definitely want to have as a permanent part of my gaming center. Osgeld
last av modded 7800 I sold as a starter kit was for 140, that was with 2 common 2600 games and 2 common 7800 games( maybe 3 and 3 I dont remember that was like a month and 6 systems ago lol) and a arcade style stick so if I were to knock off a few bucks for the games and maybe 20 for the stick I think you got a decent deal for a system that's plug in ready and go now what I paid for it is a different story, the system itself was "like in the armpit of the basement" dirty, and I had to do all the labor of cleaning it up and out, replacing all the switches and doing the av mod, which though I tend to be one to post modded refurbed systems at a discount, its still not free to do all that edit yea it was 3 7800 games and 3 2600 games so 140 - what buck fiddy for the 2600 games and maybe 5 for the 7800 games heh Edited April 4, 2017 by Osgeld
