anonimitie
On both Altirra and Atari800Win the arrow keys work as a joystick but, not as keyboard input. I've double checked the keyboard mappings and they're set-up correctly. Does anyone recognize the problem and know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! Rybags
A800Win+ allows "use keyset as regular keys" which means you can have both. I've asked in the past for that functionality to be added to Altirra but I don't think it's there. It's a real annoyance since my preferred joysick emulation is by the cursor keys which means I constantly have to turn the mappings on/off. Mclaneinc
Just testing on Altirra via the Notepad screen and they work and arrow keys should, I think you have the Arrow keys setup as a joystick in port one in the input mappings rather than a real joystick. If you have a real gamepad set it to that and your problem is fixed.. @rybags, for some reason I thought there was a switch to allow that but clearly as I've gone for a different fix there isn't that option... In input / keyboard what does the Arrow keys thing do...Not played with that ever... Edited April 2, 2017 by Mclaneinc
+Philsan
Perhaps I didn't get the question. Anyway, with Altirra emulator, you have to press ALT together with arrows keys to move cursor in Basic.
MrMaddog
Here are the steps, both are under the Input menu... 1. In Input Mappings, change from Arrow Keys to Gamepad (or Xbox 360) 2. In Keyboard, select the options in Arrow key mode. You can use the arrow keys w/o having to hold down Control or do the opposite and use Control+Arrow keys if you want.
