MrBeefy
Well this goes along with how they would delete comments from people asking/talking about what games, yet leaving a comment mocking a guy for a 'gay pride' photo...
OCAT
I have a very bad feeling Atari is going to get sued when this console comes out, I cannot imagine how many patents Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have for any and all designes and functions that were never even used. What does Atari have to offer? NADA!, they dont even have money to hire a decent match-book lawyer. I would suggest that Atari sends out those backer consoles before they get sued. At this point Atari has no hopes of ever making any money from this dumsper diving console, THIS! is the exact situation they need to save face and whatever craptactular brand name they have. Ship out consoles to all backers at once before ANYONE REVIEWS it, then when they get sued, Atari can say "Sorry we had a massive library of games ready to launch, but the big 3 bullies are taking us to court, thus we cannot keep the Atari VCS services going anymore, thank goodness for SANDBOX MODE!, We at Atari wish all out backers the best!" This way they can blame the failure of the VCS on Nintendo, Sony and Mocrosoft and come out looking like the underdog '.'nn~ . Go back to making T-shirts Atari, you stay in the safe zone and let the big boys play. (Allegedly)

+frankodragon
The sweatshirt looks like something out of the retired TPIR game Penny Ante. I dunno. Maybe "Atari" should try to sue Fremantle Media (formerly Mark Goodson Productions) for its Penny Ante pricing game. Of course, Drew Carey might come along and kick Chesnais in the crotch for doing so. (And Bob Barker might karate chop him as well.)

But time is definitely not on Atari's side. If they have to throw a Raspberry Pi in a shell, ship it and declare mission accomplished, just do it. They'll still have plenty of supporters who say it's the best thing ever.

The only way they will ever stop is if i personally go over there and knock everyone of them out cold and flick their mains off. Although society says if i was to do that i would be the bad guy so that option isn't feasible. Unfortunately that's how it is these days and luckily for myself as someone still renting there is 6 months left on the lease and we're out of here. I can't wait! That sucks man. We've had neighbours like that in the past so I feel you. Just infuriates me how obnoxious people can be. Wouldn't kill them to reel it in a bit. Our current ones are also borderline animal abusers (long story, but in short, they are bad pet owners), which doesn't help. Two of them are fanless AMD Ryzen 3 3200u with Vega 3 graphics. I don't know about the differences, but at first blush seems very close to the AtariVCS' R1606G specs. No word yet on pricing. Meanwhile over at Atari is a cricket chirping, "No news is good news." If anyone cares to look into the similarities or differences, it would be appreciated! I haven't spent time looking into it in any great deal yet but the TL;DR is that Zotac's machines are more powerful than the VCS. The Ryzen 3200U is a mobile processor, so it's a tier above Ryzen Embedded.

carlsson
Commodore USA was a both weird and tragic story. As far as I understand, it ended when the CEO died and unless it was a one man operation disguised as a bigger company, there was not a single other person with the know-how, dedication or interest in running the business in any way at all, despite having unsold stock and everything. Of course the holding company who have the rights to the brand and whichever infinitesimally IP still existing (mostly system ROMs) is even more anonymous than Atari SA is. I understand the rights may have changed hands yet again in the past year or so and that whoever now owns the rights might actually be willing to make money on them, like with THEC64 licensing. 4
