Tempest
I have a homemade video cable for my Apple IIgs that allows it to use an Atari SC1435 monitor. The cable worked just fine but now it appears to have lost one of the RGB colors (it's all blue so I'm guessing red). For a while I could just wiggle it and it would go back to normal, but now that doesn't even work. I opened up the cable and found that one of the wires was falling apart and probably not making good contact. It appears that the previous owner may have tried to fix this by putting a large blob of solder on it, which has either broken away or moved enough that it's not helping anymore. Bottom line is that one wire isn't making contact anymore and I don't think my soldering skills up to par to fix this mess. Can I hire someone to do a basic wire repair job? The connector is your standard 9-Pin DIN looking plug with only a few wires attached (6 I think). It's probably 5 min work for someone who is handy with this kind of thing, but it might as well be astrophysics to me.
