senior_falcon
Why is it that sometimes I can go back and edit a post, and other times there is no option to edit? (And yes, I am logged in.)
+Ksarul
It is a timed thing for regular users. I think you can go back and edit so long as less than an hour has passed from the last time you touched the post.
Albert
As a regular Member, you can edit a post for 60 minutes after it's been submitted. This allows you to fix any issues you may notice with the post right away. Subscribers can edit posts for 30 days. In the Marketplace and Programming forums, you can edit your posts indefinitely, since the flexibility of allowing editing of posts outweighs the potential abuse of the edit functionality. These restrictions were put into place to prevent misuse of the edit feature. For instance, we've had users say something offensive or troll in a post, only to change it a short while later before a moderator sees it. And there have been instances where people have edited away a great number of posts. ..Al

senior_falcon
This must be new because I remember uploading an updated file to a post that was weeks old. Oh well, c'est la vie.
Albert
This must be new because I remember uploading an updated file to a post that was weeks old. Oh well, c'est la vie. It's not new, but there are some forums (as I described above) where you can edit posts indefinitely. Also, if you need to edit a specific post, let me know and I can give you the ability to do so. ..Al
Omega-TI
One of the best reasons to be a subscriber in my book. I've often been in a rush while posting something, only to come back after work and wonder, "How did I let THAT slip by!" I've also noticed some areas of AtariAge let you download stuff when NOT logged in, not sure I like that as ones numbers can get erroneously affected on traffic`.
+OLD CS1
One of the best reasons to be a subscriber in my book. One of many, IMNSHO, including that @Albert, the guy who runs the joint, just popped into a thread to answer a general question.

Tursi
I've also noticed some areas of AtariAge let you download stuff when NOT logged in, not sure I like that as ones numbers can get erroneously affected on traffic`. This is a good thing. I link people to downloads on AA all the time. Some of them stay. If you can't download the file, lots of people will just look elsewhere.
