Sinphaltimus
The side port splitter (where the PEB connects). can you connect 2 PEBS at opnce with that and only power on one that you want to use?I ask because with a PEB and a nanoPEB, could I have them both connected via the splitter and only use the PEN (keeping nano powered off) then if I want to use the nano, I won't turn on my peb and only power on the nano.Anyone know or try this before? +Ksarul
That particular trick fails, unfortunately. The Nano continues to affect the bus signaling when connected this way. You can connect two standard PEBs, each with a Flex Cable Interface, and all works well as long as no CRUs are duplicated between the PEBs.
Sinphaltimus
Fuey. I suppose I'll just run my nano for now and connect the PEB when I need to do real disk or tape operations.
Shift838
I had the same thought around a year ago. I went so far to cut traces on the PEB splitter card and put in a couple of switches to enable/disable lines to see if I could get a Nano and PEB working while both connected (not powered at the same time). I did not have any luck. but I abandoned that project for now. I'm sure it's probably a line that needs to be turned off, just not sure which as of yet. Once figured out maybe a version 2 of the board can be made.
sparkdrummer
I went as far as having Jaime reprogram a nanoPEB to dsr 1000 - no luck - did not coexist with a Corcomp MES. Edited January 2, 2018 by sparkdrummer
