upgraded my classic computer work station

Recommended Posts

went with the wife to IKEA today for some shopping

and like always i hit up the open box / returns section

hit the jackpot

they had a really nice counter top with one corner bashed in (but also had the laminate strips used for resizing the top) only 19.99

they also had a really nice set of 5 brushed aluminum legs for 37$

just could not pass them up

got home whacked the counter top down to fit my space (82 inches), glued on the laminate

screwed the legs on

and bam new workstation

and now since it looks nice i got upgraded from the basement to our main game room lol

added a shelf from IKEA i had in the garage and now i have a nice new work/play space , and am no longer stuck in the dungeon lol

first pic is before

not to to bad for a 80$ total cost upgrade

digging Ghostbusters on your C64! that was one of my fave games.

lookin' very cool. :)

the only suck part about the upgrade is i lost a space for that 1702 monitor so stuck with the lcd for everything

good thing is its a pal 32 inch sony

and supports ntsc , pal , and has rgb scart so i can get some pretty good image quality on it even with the old stuff

the only one i have trouble with is the coco2 it gets a lot of garbage in the image

guess i can swap out the tv on my xbox kiosk for the commodore monitor but its a bit smaller
