Timballisto
Hi everyone, I went to a yard sale the other day and considered myself very lucky to pick up a copy of Miner 2049er Vol 1 & 2 for the 2600. When I got home and tried to play them on my 7800 I couldn't get the carts to fit into the 7800's cart slot. They didn't want to insert all the way into the system. I didn't want to force them too hard for fear of breaking the entire machine. And I did push pretty hard but to no avail. Is there a problem getting carts to fit into the 7800? I've had a few carts that seemed to fit very tight but not that wouldn't go into the system at all. Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. I do have a 2600 I could try playing them on, but it is in storage and I'd prefer to leave it that way since all my other 2600 games work fine in the 7800. +Mitch
Yes, the prongs on the cart are too long, that's why it won't go in all the way. I use the 7800 high score cart which has a pass through on it to play these games on my 7800. Mitch
Timballisto
Sadly I don't have the hi score cart. You said the prongs are to long. I read on the Tigervision page that the cart could be moded. Would you just have to cut the prongs a little bit shorter to make the cart fit in the 7800? Tim
+Mitch
Yes, I suppose you could do that, but it hurt the value of the games if you ever wanted to resell them. Mitch
