Omega-TI
Sigh... I just watched your video. In the reflection I saw you playing the game single handed, while holding your recording device... and easily beating my best score. I feel so inadequate!
fabrice montupet
This is the advantage of the programmer ^_^I have also found that this game was not simple to play, it is a real challenge and it is what I like ! :-)

Retrospect
It would really make me chuckle, if it turned out Manfred Trenz was bad at playing Turrican! I'll be honest though, I can't get past Mars often on my game. And when fuel gets added I bet I can't get off the Moon. marc.hull
Nice work. Add shooting the rocks on your way up and your dead on. You got the eye for this.

+Vorticon
I have to say that your games are always so meticulous and balanced. You've come a long way from the slot machine simulations you were so fond of Nice work.

Thanks Marc Now you've just said that I'm tempted to try it. I'd have to take out the "bonus stage" and do that instead. It's the bonus stage that's putting the game back from being "officially released" at the moment. Loads of bother with it. See I'm not used to making shooting games so this is my first attempt proper.
Retrospect
I like that starfield effect! It's nice isn't it. Those stars are made from 3 different character sets for three colours, each one has 4 star types in it. Selected at random and displayed randomly. Retrospect
Yep, that starfield is pure eye candy. Yeah I missed out the GOSUB 9920 to do the starfield in that update. it's in there, it just didn't get referenced to in the code. I've put it back in for the next update which is coming soon.

Retrospect
LUNAR-M.zip < fiad file (great for classic99, js99er) mission.zip < v9t9 format EA5 files. Game is finished. Uploads are here and at first post in thread. Use stick forward and backward to thrust / descend, with left and right. Stick forward to shoot UFO's in bonus stage. All issues resolved.
Retrospect
So, now we have fuel. You get 2000 units of fuel initially, and it does go down quite quick. Trick is to try not to use too much thrust on your way down towards the astronauts, because you're gonna be full on the thrust on the way back up. When it runs out you get another 2000 units. The bonus screen gets you points and fuel units for shooting those pesky UFO's .... some are slow, and some are sneakily quick. Pull down to thrust, pull up to descend quicker ... combine with left and right. I've made control of the rescue ship a lot easier to play now. I can get to Mercury but I can't get off that planet. The video shows me stopping at Mars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZCzYXGL3_w
ti99iuc
Ohhhh really nice Retrospect ! i played this a few and i had really fun time. I have to say that the stars background are very cool and also i like more this kind of meteors than the rev.2 ones. the game play i think is better also here the new version of the label, Stars added on the backgroud
Retrospect
I love the labels! Fantastic. Glad you like the game Ciro. It's been a really difficult one to make, this time. So many things went wrong with it in different places, I nearly pulled my beard off. Hey I just got a top score of 4500. I died due to fuel shortage. haha.
