+therealbountybob Posted April 8, 2018 Author Share Posted April 8, 2018 A couple more observations/hint for Rainbow Walker - you can use the fire button to jump over a gap, you can struggle out of the thing that carries you across (I think unless it just drops you), wait for the worm thing to bridge the gaps on some levels, on the bonus round try saying up/down/left/right in your head or even out loud when it gets fast you just have to go for it! You can jump diagonally with the button to the bottom left/right corners of the rainbow and make it to a square that you might not expect to - like a knight's move in chess!! graywest Posted April 8, 2018 Share Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Couple of things about Cloudburst that may not be apparent if you haven't read the instructions: Pulling DOWN on the stick will activate your umbrella, which is basically a shield against falling raindrops, acid rain (the yellow drops) and creatures. This only works against falling enemies, not enemies that are already on the ground. It lasts for 16 hits. (Though I've never lived long enough to see it vanish.) Losing a life will restore the umbrella to full health. You will want to COLLECT the falling cats before they hit the ground - these are big points. Shooting them, or letting them hit the ground will destroy them and you won't get any points. I've noticed that the collision detection on the ground enemies is a little "iffy". Sometimes your bullets will pass straight through them. My best strategy is to keep far away from them when they land, so I'll have time to take a couple of shots as they run at me, and hope at least one of them will connect. I think they put in all the extra men to make up for the stop start causing many deaths as you try and jump/move - limit the use of the firebutton horizontally perhaps I found the levels appear in slightly random order. Yes just hang around and when the worms come on try and not scroll them off - or McKong's route sounds good - there were only a couple of levels like this (see my screenshots on previous post) Keep on Koasin' 1175 (I won't count my score) got to level 10 - the game is technically good and I was pleased to create this in only 4K but probably I should have limited the switch back to some rounds and just made it go forward/l/r faster and faster. If you start on 'Wild' you begin on level 10.
