jjh76
Would this be good for attaching a PAL ( or NTSC) system to an NTSC CRT Television? Only if the TV has inputs for RGB or VGA. This beast can accept input from a lot of different formats, but it can only output RGBHV (vga), RGBs, or RGsB, either through the 5 bnc connectors or through a standard 15-pin vga cable. It looks good on my 1080p lcd monitor, but a little less so on my 4k led tv because of the extra scaling the tv does to get it to 4k. I do get some very minor noise in dark solid colors, and the blacks are kinda grey, but I think this has more to do with the digital conversion done by the lcd monitor and the tv. At any rate, with my retro computers and my game systems it is a big improvement in image quality compared to connecting them directly to my tv. As this is a completely analog device it would probably look even better on a crt pc monitor but I don't have one to test it on. For size and weight, I would say that it's comparable to a late 70's or early 80's vcr
