Inky
Something that's been nagging me for sometime... Atari's 'qudrascan' games like Tempest and Black Widow, are they true vector games, in the style of monitor used in asteroids? I ask, because I could have sworn they used regular raster monitors. Oh, and God Bless Vector Games! They have a style and feel no wimpy 'texture mapping' can equal!
Cassidy Nolen
They certainly are tempermental enough to fit the bill! Yes, the QScan monitor is a true vector monitor. It simply has three color guns that all do the same thing that the one gun Asteroids monitor does. All of the Atari monitors have the neat ability to allow for "vector fade", that cool fade away effect that Atari mastered and Sega drooled over. Ah, the games. They just plain rock. Star Wars, ESB, Black Widow, Tempest. Our childhood favorites and adult expenses! Cassidy
